Joshua Israel Ventures LLC is the data controller for personal information processed through this website. Simple Macro Guide is a brand of Joshua Israel Ventures LLC, not a separate company. You can reach us at joshuaofisrael@gmail.com.
What we collect
Emails you send us
The form on our contact page sends your name, your email address, and your message through FormSubmit, which emails them to joshuaofisrael@gmail.com. We use that message only to reply. FormSubmit handles delivery of the form. Our inbox is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages on our behalf. The form does not run on our own servers.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Each page loads Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy focused analytics script, so we can count visits and see how quickly pages load. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors across sites. It records information such as the page viewed, the referring site, browser and device type, approximate country and page load timings. We only see aggregate reports. We cannot identify you from them. As with any web request, Cloudflare receives your IP address when the script loads.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, run by GitHub, Inc. Like any web host, GitHub may log technical details such as IP addresses when it serves pages, for security and to keep the service running. We do not have access to those logs.
Calculators
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored.
What we do not collect

- No Google Analytics, social media pixels or other marketing trackers.
- We do not sell personal information. Advertising is provided by Google as described in the Advertising section.
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of personalised advertising from many providers at aboutads.info. Cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics works without cookies. Google advertising may set or read cookies in your browser, subject to your consent choice where required. If you follow a link to another website, that site has its own cookie and privacy policies.
How we use information
- To read and reply to messages you send, including corrections and permission requests.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve them.
- To keep the site secure and working.
If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving an educational website and in answering messages that you choose to send us.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers named above (FormSubmit for the contact form, Google for email and advertising, Cloudflare for analytics, and GitHub for hosting), or where the law requires it. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as we need to deal with your message and keep reasonable records, and we delete them sooner if you ask. Analytics data is held by Cloudflare under its own retention rules, and we only view it in aggregate.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, email joshuaofisrael@gmail.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Governing law
This policy and any dispute about it or about Simple Macro Guide are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, with venue in the state or federal courts located in Florida. Joshua Israel Ventures LLC is a Florida limited liability company.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we show advertising, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect.
